During the recent growing season, the grasses at Longwood Gardens stretched and lodged more so than in the past. This is possibly due to the abundant rainfall in spring and early summer. Consequently, overall scores were a bit lower.
‘Northwind’ and ‘Shenandoah’ were among the top performers in 2015. Both maintained an upright habit with little to no lodging and generally performed as expected with respect to size, habit, and color.
